1. DEFINITIONS
   “Digital Content” means the document templates, forms or files delivered electronically by Construction Companion.
   
   
2. CONTRACT FORMATION
   Your order at checkout constitutes an offer to us. We accept that offer by sending you an order-confirmation email containing download link(s). A binding contract is formed only once you receive that confirmation.
   
   
3. LICENSE & USE
   We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use each template for your internal business or personal purposes only. You may not resell, sublicense, share, or redistribute the templates in any form.
   
   
4. DELIVERY
   Upon order confirmation, you will receive an email with a download link. That link expires after 18 months 
5. PRICE
   All prices are in GBP Payment is processed securely via Stripe and PayPal. You are responsible for any local taxes or duties.
   
   
6. DIGITAL CONTENT, CANCELLATION & STATUTORY REFUNDS
   By checking the “I agree to the Terms of Use” box at checkout, you consent to immediate download of your digital templates and acknowledge you lose your 14-day cancellation right under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations once the files are accessed.
   
   6.1 Your Statutory Right to Cancel
   Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have 14 days from purchase to cancel. For digital goods, this right ends as soon as you download or access the files.
   
   6.2 Withdrawing Consent
   If you change your mind before download, email support@constructioncompanion.co.uk with your order number to revoke consent and cancel your order.
   
   6.3 Refunds for Defective Files
   If your download link fails or the file is corrupt, email support@constructioncompanion.co.uk. We will resend a working copy or issue a full refund within 5 working days of your request.
   
   
7. MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE POLICY

   This guarantee is here so you can buy with confidence. If your own client (the person who signs the contract) raises a genuine legal issue with the wording, we’ll step in to investigate and refund you if the template is at fault.
   
   7.1 Scope & Eligibility
   Products Covered: All downloadable contract templates and digital documents sold on Construction Companion.
   Guarantee Period: 30 calendar days from the date of purchase.
   Use Requirement: You must have used the template in an actual job—i.e., the document was signed by your customer.
   Customer Complaint: To claim, provide written evidence of a complaint or dispute from your customer, clearly stating how our template failed to deliver the intended legal protection.
   Download Confirmation: Our system logs every file-access and download. If we see any link has been accessed or downloaded, the template is deemed “used.”
   Document Verification: You are responsible for ensuring each template suits your specific business needs before use.
   
   7.2 Wrong Purchase & Non-Use Refund
   If you simply purchased the wrong template but have not accessed or downloaded any files, email refunds@constructioncompanion.co.uk within 30 days of purchase for a full refund—no questions asked. Once you download or access the document link, this option expires.
   
   7.3 How to Claim a Guarantee Refund
   Email refunds@constructioncompanion.co.uk with subject “Money-Back Guarantee Claim – Order #[Your Order Number]” and include:
   • Copy of your receipt or order number
   • Proof of use (when/how your customer signed)
   • Your customer’s complaint (email, letter or dispute notice)
   We will acknowledge your claim within 2 business days.
   
   7.4 Claim Review & Resolution
   Review: We verify your purchase, download logs, and complaint evidence.
   Support Offer: Often we can resolve issues by suggesting clause modifications or providing guidance.
   Refund Decision: If, after any support, you remain dissatisfied, we will process a full refund to your original payment method within 14 days of approval.
   
   7.5 Exclusions & Limitations
   • Change of Mind: This guarantee does not cover regrets, preference changes, or dissatisfaction unrelated to a documented customer complaint.
   • Non-Payment by Customer: Claims based solely on your customer failing to pay for work completed are not covered.
   • Download = Use: Any download or access log marks the product as used, barring the Wrong Purchase refund.
   • Repeat Claims: We reserve the right to decline multiple claims by the same purchaser.
   • Statutory Rights: This voluntary policy is in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which cover faulty digital content (repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund).
   
   
8. NO LEGAL ADVICE
   Our templates are off-the-shelf documents and do not constitute legal advice. They may not suit your specific circumstances. You should seek independent professional advice where necessary.
   
   
9. DISCLAIMERS, LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & INDEMNIFICATION
   9.1 No Warranties. All Digital Content is supplied “AS IS,” “AS AVAILABLE,” and without any representation or warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise (including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement).
   9.2 Assumption of Risk. You expressly acknowledge and agree that your use of the Digital Content is at your sole risk, and that Construction Companion Ltd., its officers, employees, agents and affiliates (collectively, “CC Parties”) shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages, losses, fines or penalties (including but not limited to legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of the Digital Content, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
   9.3 Jurisdictional Compliance. You are solely responsible for determining whether any template complies with the laws, regulations or rules applicable to your jurisdiction and particular circumstances prior to use.
   9.4 Indemnification. You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the CC Parties from and against any and all third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses or expenses (including reasonable legal fees and costs) arising out of or relating to (a) your use or misuse of the Digital Content; (b) any breach by you of these Terms; or (c) any allegation that your use of the Digital Content infringes or misappropriates any third party’s intellectual property or other rights.
   
   
10. CUSTOMER MODIFICATIONS
    10.1 Use at Your Own Risk. You may edit, adapt or otherwise modify the Digital Content after download. Any such modifications are performed at your sole discretion and risk.
    10.2 No Warranty on Modified Content. Construction Companion Ltd. has no control over, and disclaims all liability for, any modified or derivative version of the Digital Content. The guarantees, warranties and indemnities set out in these Terms apply only to the unaltered original files as supplied.
    10.3 Independence of Originals. The original, unedited Digital Content remains available for re-download within the period specified. Any use of a modified file does not entitle you to any additional remedy beyond those set out herein.

12. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
